Plainview-Rover Schools

Welcome

Our school is the pride and centerpiece of our community. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to the preparation of our children for the future; teaching them to be caring, thinking, contributing citizens, prepared for the challenges of our changing world.

Plainview, Arkansas is located in Yell County in the heart of the beautiful Fourche River Valley. Our small community is at the intersection of Arkansas Highways 28 and 60. We are nestled against the Ouachita Mountains to the south and the Arkansas River Valley to the north. Lake Nimrod is virtually on campus. We enjoy this perfect environment in which to nurture and educate our children.

    Happy Halloween…

    By Kaleigh Carter

    & Blayne Prater

Halloween is on Sunday, October 31, 2010! So, get your costumes before they sell out. I usually make my costumes (well, my aunt does anyway). Halloween is also one of the most exciting events of the year. Mostly, I like this holiday because of all the great costumes, candy, and especially all of the different monsters! But besides all of the fun a person can have, remember to stay safe!

    Nurse’s Notes...

By Mrs. Pat Briley Flu symptoms include:

  • • fever, chills, body and or bone ache, you may experience coughing, vomiting and diarrhea.

If you believe you have the flu or you think you have the flu:

    • stay home, drink plenty of fluids, keep fever down and if you get worse go to the doctor.

    Medicine tip:

    • To keep fever down, alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen every two hours.

The best defense from the flu is:
